11 Local Restaurants Join Together To Celebrate The Lemon-Aid Project’s 30th Anniversary

Special Lemon-Aid-Inspired Treats and Beverages Will Be Promoted From August 24 - September 2, Portion Of Proceeds Will Benefit The Non-Profit

Tulsa, Oklahoma - August 20, 2024 - The Lemon-Aid Project, the city-wide charity event that empowers kids of all ages to be impactful entrepreneurs and philanthropists within their community, announced today that 11 local restaurants and vendors have agreed to participate in the second annual Lemon-Aid restaurant promotions, which will take place from Saturday, August 24 through Monday, September 2.
  • Bar Serra (1876 Utica Square, Tulsa) 
    • Lemon-Basil Smash – Bombay, lemon & basil syrup, Cointreau, Angostura and sea salt
  • Big Dipper Creamery (All 3 Locations: Mother Road Market - 1124 South Lewis, Tulsa; 3633 South Peoria, Tulsa; and 120 North Main, Sand Springs) 
    • Tasty lemonade float with blackberry ice cream
  • Deep Freeze Deli (Mother Road Market - 1124 South Lewis, Tulsa) 
    • Freeze dried lemon heads  
  • Farrell Bread & Bakery (8090 South Yale, Tulsa) 
    • Lemon cookies, which will also be available at the Tulsa Farmers’ Market.
  • Isla’s Kitchen (404 East Archer, Tulsa) 
    • Blueberry Porch Rocker – Blueberry Vodka, Lemon, Sugar, Absinthe, Soda
  • Josh’s Sno Shack at Expo Square (4145 East 21st, Tulsa) 
    • Receive a large cup of shaved ice to add to the lemonade with Lemon-Aid purchase

The Lemon-Aid Project Unveils 30th Anniversary Celebration Festivities

From local restaurants and businesses to families and organized groups, the entire Tulsa area will turn yellow for the week of Labor Day.

The Lemon-Aid Project, a city-wide charity event where kids are provided with all the materials to set up lemonade stands to raise money for those in need, will be co-hosting a series of festivities in celebration of the non-profit’s 30th anniversary with funds raised benefiting the Lindsey House.

  • Restaurant promotions. 11 local restaurants and vendors will craft a Lemon-Aid inspired treat or beverage from Saturday August 24 - Monday September 2 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Lemon-Aid Project  -  https://www.thelemonaidproject.org/restaurants.html 

  • University of Tulsa Football Tailgate. Thursday August 29 - 4pm - 7pm on Chapman Commons (800 South Tucker Drive, Tulsa) - Partnering with University of Tulsa Athletics, volunteers will have a lemonade stand set up and free Lemon-Aid kits available for volunteers to sign up for and pick up on the spot.

  • LA 2024 Kick-Off. Friday August 30 - 3pm - 7pm at Mother Road Market (1124 South Lewis, Tulsa). Lemonade stands and punch walls will be set up inside the Mother Road Market Demo Kitchen while volunteers can pick up their free Lemon-Aid kits for the weekend. 

  • Stands Across Tulsa. Labor Day Weekend with varied hours and locations. Our traditional Lemon-Aid stands will be held across the city of Tulsa - and beyond with our city’s youth raising money for those in need. Sign up for a free kit here: https://www.thelemonaidproject.org/volunteer.html 

  • Satellite Stands. Labor Day Weekend at Expo Square (4145 East 21st St, Tulsa), Philbrook (2727 South Rockford Rd, Tulsa) and Southwood (9025 South Lewis, Tulsa). Volunteers will be set up a special group Lemon-Aid stands at these Tulsa landmarks throughout the weekend Hours of operation for each can be found here: https://www.thelemonaidproject.org/satellitestands.html
