As we gear up for an exciting 2025 season with our "Spark Change One Lemon At A Time" theme benefiting Tulsa Changemakers, The Lemon-Aid Project is thrilled to welcome two outstanding new members to our Board of Directors: Megan Korn and Darrel Frater. These dynamic leaders bring fresh energy and diverse expertise to our mission of empowering Tulsa's youth to become impactful entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Their commitment to community service and youth development aligns perfectly with our core value of kids helping kids. A Champion for Education and Youth: Megan Korn Steps Up From coaching youth sports to raising funds that transform students' lives, Megan Korn has always been passionate about creating opportunities for young people to thrive. As Chief Development Officer for the Tulsa Community College Foundation, she knows exactly what it takes to build community support for meaningful causes. "I've watched The Lemon-Aid Project evolve over the years into a true Tulsa tradition," Megan shares. "The simple yet powerful concept of kids learning entrepreneurship while helping other kids is something I'm proud to support and help grow." Her experience building partnerships with Tulsa's community leaders, corporations, and foundations will help The Lemon-Aid Project forge new connections across the city. Having watched our organization evolve over the years, Megan brings both fresh ideas and an appreciation for our history. A natural connector with a background spanning corporate training, non-profit consulting, and community service, Megan brings her talents as Past-President of the Rotary Club of Tulsa Sunrise to our board. Her hands-on experience with youth as a soccer and tennis coach has given her valuable insights into motivating and mentoring children—skills that align perfectly with our mission of empowering young entrepreneurs. Investing in Young Entrepreneurs: Darrel Frater Joins the Team When it comes to spotting potential and fostering growth, Darrel Frater brings a wealth of experience to The Lemon-Aid Project. As Co-Founder of The Frater Family Foundation, Darrel has a heart for serving entrepreneurs—making him perfectly suited to help guide our young lemonade stand participants. "Kids running lemonade stands today could be launching startups tomorrow," says Darrel. "The financial literacy and entrepreneurial mindset The Lemon-Aid Project instills are the exact foundations needed for future success." Through his participation in the Board Leadership Collaborative program, Darrel will serve as a board intern throughout 2025, bringing fresh perspectives from his prior work in venture capital roles at Serac Ventures, Visible Hands, and Comcast. When he's not evaluating investment opportunities, Darrel is a dedicated family man—a husband and father who understands firsthand the importance of nurturing the next generation of community leaders. His involvement with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Metropolitan Baptist Church in Tulsa further demonstrates his commitment to community building and mentorship.
