Satellite Stands
One of the many things we learned in 2023 was the power of community. The majority of our stands weren’t just a single child or an individual family; rather, they were a group of neighbors, a set of classmates, or even an organization coming together to form a “super-stand,” if you will.
With this learning, we piloted a limited number of “Satellite Stands” for our 30th anniversary in 2024, which were hosted at Tulsa landmark locations, including Expo Square, Philbrook, and Southwood Landscaping, with HUGE success. In 2025, we expanded the program to include 2 Mattress Firm locations.

The idea:
- An organization or family provides the majority of the volunteers and leads the coordination of a particular Satellite Stand.
- The landmark location encourages staff to volunteer, provides a liaison, and promotes the stand and sign-ups on-site in advance of Labor Day Weekend.
- Lemon-Aid connects families who would like to volunteer at the Landmark location to ensure participation (all minors are required to attend with a guardian).
